Charlestown is a ward in the north of the city of Manchester, England. The population of the ward at the 2011 census was 14,332. Voters from this ward elect three councillors to Manchester City Council. As of the local elections held in May 2011 the three councillors are Veronica Kirkpatrick, Basil Curley and Mark Hackett. All three are members of the Labour Party. As of 2011 Hackett is Deputy Lord Mayor of Manchester. Wikipedia
