About Daisy Daydream Reflexology

Daisy Daydream provides professional treatments to people in the Cardigan and surrounding areas of West Wales, focusing mostly on Reflexology, but also Mindfulness and Reiki. My treatment packages are combined with the application of special herbal and goats-milk skincare products and takes place in a peaceful and comfortable setting, promoting total relaxation.

Will Reflexology help me?

Well trained reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe. The theory is that reflexology helps the body to restore its balance naturally. The specific techniques used help stimulate blood flow and nerve impulses that then trigger the release of endorphins and retained toxins. Usually, after a treatment your tension may be reduced and you might feel relaxed. You might also notice yourself sleeping better and find your mood and sense of wellbeing improving. You may also find that other aspects improve too; however, this happens on an individual basis. Reflexology can help with a variety of health conditions including, but not limited to:

  •     Anxiety and Stress
  •     Depression
  •     Pain Issues
  •     Muscle Tension
  •     Circulation Problems
  •     Headaches
  •     Digestive Problems
  •     Hormonal Issues
  •     Cancer
  •     Insomnia
  •     Infertility
  •     Pregnancy

Who will be my therapist?

Treatments are provided by Tamra Wychwood, DipHE, RN, PRM, who was trained as a Reflexologist by David Wayte of Jubilee College in 2012. David is a director of the membership body 'Professional Reflexology' and has appeared on TV. He has a reputation for excellence in the field of reflexology whilst jokingly being known as the 'baby maker' through his successful treatments of clients with infertility. Tamra also has a special interest and focus on Women's Health, and is herself studying hormonal issues, maternity and fertility through reflexology, though is open to cater for all clients. Tamra has full membership and insurance with Professional Reflexology.

What can I expect?

An initial consultation will take place at the first session, followed by an investigatory treatment. An individualised treatment plan is then tailor-made to reflect your needs.
After that, a typical treatment will last 1 hour and 15 minutes, this is slightly longer than the average time of 1 hour. This extra 15 minutes is to allow for a relaxing foot soak, prior to starting the hands on treatment, and for us to catch up, enabling you to enjoy your treatment without the need for conversation – in total relaxation.
Average length of treatment depends on the condition. A course of 5-10 treatments is usually suggested though.
Herbal skin care products used during treatments, all from my own range of Daisy Daydream Herbal Creations, are as follows:

  •     Lavender Flower and Tea Tree foot soak
  •     Calendula Foot Powder, and a choice of:
  •     Relaxing Foot/Hand Lotion – Lavender
  •     Refreshing Foot/Hand Lotion – Mint

Allergies will be catered for and alternatives provided if needed.
